Hello!

I am Zubieta (Marta Zubieta), Bristol based multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and graphic designer, who explores popular culture through the combination of retro and tropical references. With my characters I describe myths and clichés of the generation Z and Millennial. Inspired by Tumblr gif artists collectives, electrocumbia rhythms coupled with southamerican chicha and sci-fi movies, I develop colourful illustrations that tickle an optical festival for the mind willing to travel through the vines of a neptunian jungle.

Freelance since 2015 I have specialised in digital illustration, hand drawn figurative logotypes and brand content development, working regullarly on graphic design & illustration projects for music collectives and ethical businesses in UK and Spain while studying an MA in Graphic Arts at UWE Bristol.
