Dove Street Community Murals 2026
A community-led mural project developed in collaboration with residents of Dove Street in Bristol. Through creative workshops and group discussions, local residents of all ages shared the stories, symbols and values they wanted their neighbourhood to celebrate. One child's phrase, "Express yourself," became the central theme of my mural, alongside Somali flowers representing the mothers of the community and portraits of both an elderly woman and a young woman of African heritage. The project demonstrates my collaborative approach to public art, translating community voices into vibrant, character-led murals that celebrate identity, belonging and shared experiences. ( the final photo for this project will be ready on september because the scaffolding is still up!)
This project is still underdevelopment and will be finishe don the 5th of september!
